Paraquad Industries Workshop was completely destroyed by a fire in early 2011. Based on experience with other similar sized buildings, insurers estimated that reconstruction would take at least 24 months.

DWA managed the reconstruction project of the 4000m2 building and new gymnasium, including structural and civil design. Costs and construction time were kept to a minimum with the use of practical design, salvaging the existing slab, using concrete tilt up panels, and tendering the work as a series of contracts. Through the innovative management of DWA, the building was ready for occupation only 14 months after the fire, ten months earlier than originally anticipated.
